    Rub your fingertips over Bomade: BeardScent to warm and soften the balm.

    Emulsify between your palms, then massage into your beard, mustache, hair, or skin. Use a small amount at first — a little goes a long way.

    For beards and mustaches, work through facial hair to help soften, shape, and tame flyaways.

    For hair, smooth lightly over frizz, curls, dry ends, or unruly texture.

    For hands and cuticles, massage into dry fingertips, nails, and knuckles as needed.

    The Story behind Jao Brand

    Jao Brand has the kind of origin story My American Goods® loves: a real problem, a family collaboration, and a product that became original because it had to be. Founder Gale Mayron grew up around formulation through her father, David Mayron, a research and developmental chemist.     Jao Bomade is a great product. I’ve been using it for years. Wonderful beard scent. Amazing hold for longer facial hair, whether it’s a mustache or beard, without it being too gummy or tacky. When applied to any hair, it leaves a nice feel, and slight sheen. When applied to skin, this stuff is absorbed nicely. the initial scent lingers for a good while without being too strong, which is nice and takes a decent time to fade. Even my clothes have a nice scent afterwards.

    Smells excellent, tames beard.

    Works well for taming fly away beard strands of hair. Takes a lot of the fluff out of my which is what I was hoping for. My guess is this would fluff ones beard up also of one wanted to style that way. The smell is excellent! It doesn't make me feel greasy or like there's something in my beard. Seems to straighten my beard out when used with a blow dryer as they recommend but I rarely use one. I found beard balms work better than oil. But it seems I do well with good quality shampoo and conditioner and don't use beard products often.

    I have a full goatee and this beard balm is lightly and very pleasantly scented. It works well at smoothing and controlling my moustache and goatee hair. It's also not oily or greasy. I apply it after showering. If you're looking for light control and a pleasant scent, I highly recommend this Beard Scent.

    Wish I'd bought this sooner

    I bought this as a Valentine's gift for my boyfriend. It arrived very quickly. I was really surprised by how strong of smell it has. Although it's very pleasant (kind of reminds me of green herbal & patchouli mixture), it will permeate a whole house when you first apply it. He's really pleased with the texture and sculpting power of the pomade and I'm happy that his beard doesn't smell like pizza!

    kinda smells like a throw back to my grandpas time, which I find pretty cool. the jar is pretty small but it doesn't take much to get the job done so i think it's worth the money. this one certainly smells good.

    Very Moisturizing!

    I originally ordered this for my husband's beard after seeing a rave about this product from a Facebook friend. When it arrived, my husband wasn't crazy about the scent which is a little strong at first. I decided to try it out myself on my hands. In the Wintertime I tend to get eczema on the backs of my hands. It does smell quite strongly at first, kind of citrusy but it mellowed out into a nice, manly smell. It is very moisturizing. My hands were back to being soft & healed in the morning. I decided to try it out on the ends of my hair at night while I'm sleeping and it works wonderfully as a leave in treatment. The ends of my hair are baby soft in the morning and smell very nice. I wish my husband could get past the initial smell (he's weird about scents) because this is an awesome product and I can only imagine what it would do for his beard.
